Ogden, UT September 11th - September 18th

Wind Advisory

Oh oh the wind, Wow the wind really blew us around on our way to Utah. About the time we reached Idaho Falls, ID we had to stop. The wind was crazy. Idaho Falls was actually under a wind advisory with gusts reaching up to 40 mph. No thank you! It was stressing everyone out in the bus house. We didn’t fight it, we pulled over for the night as soon as we got the chance. I received a small gift at the Snake River RV Park, a toy snake. I have enjoyed this toy more than anything Mom has ever bought me. I have fought the snake and won!

Afternoons Hiking

The next morning was an easy ride into Utah. We stayed a week just north of Salt Lake City. My brothers got a lot of school work done here. The mornings were spent on school work and the afternoons spent hiking. We had several beautiful hikes throughout the Salt Lake City area.

Hill Aerospace Museum

We took a break from school work for a field trip to Hill Aerospace Museum. A U.S. Air Force museum that is part of the United States Air Force Heritage Program.

Antelope Island State Park

We spent one evening driving around Antelope Island which is located in the Great Salt Lake. This island is a state park that is home to free-ranging bison, deer, bighorn sheep and of course antelope. Mom saw only one antelope while there and everyone else missed it. However, we saw, once again, plenty of bison. We came across a particular bison that my brothers referred to as “aggressively grazing.” As we rolled up in the jeep nice and easy he bucked and everyone let out a little girl squeal. He took off the opposite direction though. It took a few minutes for our heart rates to drop back down to normal. The island was beautiful but it’s a good thing these pictures are not scratch and sniff because the smell was more like dead fish.

Young Living

There was one day we took off to tour one of Young Living’s Farms. Mom was super excited to see the process, the farm and shop for Essential Oils. We were a little late to see the lavender in bloom. We did see mounds of juniper waiting to be turned into oil. The aroma here in the processing area was unbelievable. Dad had looked at several jobs with Young Living so we thought the Lord might put us in the path of someone we might need to meet. After our tour everyone had a new excitement for the essential oils mom has been using but didn’t feel the pull of the Lord to pursue employment there.

Mom started using the Endoflex, an oil blend that help your endocrine system, back in March for her thyroid. As a result she has come completely come off her synthroid that she has been taking for about 14 years. We have also seen warts disappear and allegeries lessen since we left on our adventure.
