Kansas City Day 3 -6
Day 3 -6, August 24 - 27
IHOP
So why Kansas City, you might ask. We absolutely love the ministry of IHOPKC, International House of Prayer of Kansas City, Missouri. We spent our time there absorbing some time in the prayer room. The prayer room was started in September 1999 and has continued twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week ever since.

The boys actually did their school work there.

I can think and work so clearly in that space. I would love to able to just sit there everyday and do my personal bibles studies and create ones. If you never had a chance to experience it I suggest you do. We have sent our boys to camp there every summer for the past four summers. They enjoy the lasting friendships they make with like-minded believers, the worship, the teachings, and most of all the presence of the Holy Spirit. There is no other place I’d rather them spend their time than drawing close to the Lord. Whenever you take yourself out of your regular routine and dedicated some time to the Lord He always shows up. I love Jesus and my heart’s desire, as a mother, is that my children have a real relationship with Him with real experiences. Experiencing the Father's love for you changes everything.
We started our journey getting the bus house ready in torrential rain and what follows us to Kansas City, torrential rain! It flooded the streets of Kansas City while we were there. This is a picture of the radar the first night we were there.

Everyone in the bus house slept through it except me and Lucky. I prayed, it was making me a little nervous with all the winds. An old friend of mine once told me to look at the weather it is signs to us of what God is doing in the spirit. So I look to this weather asking the Lord what does this rain and flooding mean to me personally and what are you up to in the spirit. It rained every night we were there. During our time there we also received heart breaking news of men we are close to. We pray grace over their families in such hard times. I believe I will ponder the rain, floods and winds some more in my heart as we continue this journey.
Homeschool Confirmation
The Friday night service Mike Bickle spoke to the new students at IHOPKC about the Life of Christ. He spoke about the first four books of the new testament and how they are written from different perspectives. In the book of Matthew Jesus is presented as the Son of David, King of Israel. In the book of Mark Jesus is shown as the Servant of God, the leader who took on the form of a servant. In the book of Luke Jesus is seen as the Son of Man, humanity. In the book of John Jesus is revealed as the Son of God, deity. For me it was a great confirmation that the homeschool was on the right path because the boys had been studying that very topic in their Bible class. Thank you Jesus for confirming our decisions to me and the boys.
Family Bonding Time
Our Pokémon adventure continued as well. I seem to be cool in my children’s eyes when I am cooking and when I am Pokémoning. If you can’t beat them, join them. It’s turning out to be our family bonding time. For those who know pokemon we got into our first gym in Kansas City. That was a big deal in the bus house.
We spent an afternoon going through the Harry S Truman museum. It was just around the corner from our RV park. What a great history lesson for us all. He had a very interesting presidency and life.

In the back of my mind I thought the Lord might just stop us in Kansas City since we all have such a heart for the place but we all felt peace and excitement to move forward. Next stop… Sioux Falls, SD
